HOW TO PLAY
Sudoku: no math, just logic.
The Goal
Fill every empty square so that each row, each column, and each 3×3 box
(the areas inside the thick gold lines) contains the numbers 1 through 9 exactly once.
Every puzzle has exactly one solution, so you never need to guess.
How to Play
Tap an empty square to select it. Its row, column, and box light up.
Tap a number on the number pad to place it.
Your numbers show in gold. Change one anytime by tapping
a different number, or clear it with Erase.
Fill the whole board correctly to win. There's no mistake limit and no game over, so
take all the time you need.
If every square is filled but something is off, a message lets you know so you can keep looking.
Reading the Board
White bold numbers are part of the puzzle and can't be changed.
Dark gold square: the square you've selected.
Lighter squares: the row, column, and box that can't repeat the selected number.
Select a square with a number and every matching number lights up.
The small number under each digit on the pad is how many are left to place. It fades out once all nine are on the board.
Tools
Undo: takes back your last move.
Erase: clears the selected square.
Notes: switch it ON to pencil in small possible numbers. Tap a number again to remove it.
Placing a number clears it from the notes in its row, column, and box.
Hint: fills in the selected square, or the easiest square if none is selected. You get 3 per game.
New Game: starts a fresh puzzle at the chosen difficulty.
Good to Know
There's no timer. Play at your own pace.
Your game saves automatically. Leave anytime and pick up where you left off.
Heads up: your game is saved in this browser on this device only.
Clearing your browser's cache, history, or site data will erase your saved game.
A private/incognito window doesn't keep it after you close it.
